Job Overview

As the Program Manager, you will thrive in a vibrant setting alongside a dedicated team of outreach and operations professionals, all committed to rolling out IRA Energy initiatives nationwide.

The Retail Program Manager will hold a prominent position, both within the organization and in external engagements. You will be tasked with crafting both short-term and long-term implementation strategies, spearheading program execution efforts, and cultivating strong relationships with clients, industry partners, and program representatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the launch and execution of programs, including the formulation of work plans to achieve objectives, coordinating staff roles, and delivering precise forecasts to both internal teams and clients.
  • Successfully manage large-scale energy programs for state clients in accordance with contractual obligations and budgetary constraints.
  • Identify, articulate, quantify, monitor, and drive program deliverables to ensure timely and accurate submissions.
  • Regularly evaluate project advancement towards goals and devise innovative solutions to emerging challenges and market shifts.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a dynamic team by establishing and reviewing performance benchmarks and objectives for direct reports, fostering effective delivery teams.
  • Support outreach initiatives through community engagement, program presentations, and relationship development.
  • Establish, manage, and nurture partnerships with subcontractors, community organizations, and other industry stakeholders.
  • Manage client expectations, satisfaction, and communications, addressing and escalating client concerns as necessary.
  • Collaborate with key internal departments such as IT, Marketing, Finance, and HR to enhance efficiencies in meeting program requirements.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in business, energy, engineering, or a related discipline is required.
  • At least 6 years of experience in energy efficiency or a related field is required, with a preference for experience in Multifamily or Commercial & Industrial (C&I) programs.
  • Prior management experience, including leading technical teams.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing project scopes, budgets, and plans.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools.
  • Preferred locations include Phoenix, AZ or Harrisburg, PA.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced energy-related certifications, such as Certified Energy Manager (CEM).
  • A master’s degree or MBA.
  • Experience in managing energy efficiency or weatherization programs focused on multi-family units.
