Philanthropy and Community Development Coordinator

Job Summary:
Near North Montessori School is seeking a highly motivated and organized professional to join our team as a Director of Donor and Alumni Relations. This key role will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive engagement program to foster meaningful relationships with our donors, alumni, and community partners.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fundraising, event planning, and donor relations, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will be able to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including parents, alumni, and community members, to build a culture of philanthropy and engagement at Near North Montessori School.
About the Salary:
The estimated salary for this role is $95,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive engagement program to foster meaningful relationships with donors, alumni, and community partners.
- Plan and execute events, such as alumni reunions, parent-teacher association meetings, and community outreach initiatives, to promote school spirit and engage stakeholders.
- Cultivate and steward major gifts from individuals, foundations, and corporations to support the school's mission and programs.
- Manage and analyze data related to donor engagement, event attendance, and gift giving to inform future strategy and decision-making.
- Collaborate with the development team to ensure alignment with the school's overall strategic plan and goals.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in fundraising, event planning, or donor relations.
- Proven track record of success in building relationships with donors, alumni, and community partners.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to present complex information in a clear and compelling manner.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Proficiency in CRM systems, preferably Blackbaud Raiser's Edge.
