Process Control Specialist

Job Summary:

The Process Control Specialist position at Cambria is responsible for implementing mechanical and procedural initiatives to maintain and improve manufacturing and polishing processes, ensuring consistency and increasing yield. This role requires a strong technical background and hands-on management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform process control checks and communicate results to ensure quality and efficiency
  • Assist engineers with trial coordination, developing testing protocols, and managing audits
  • Conduct routine live control monitoring audits to identify areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with Process Engineering to analyze data, identify manufacturing issues, and implement corrective and preventative actions
  • Work with operators to implement basic process and engineering changes
  • Assist in identifying manufacturing issues and implementing solutions
  • Possess and demonstrate expertise in mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, switches, motor starters, contactors, hoists, material handling equipment, and other production facility components
  • Develop and maintain a strong knowledge of data analytics, metrics, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Understand the operations of Oracle and Tableau software systems
  • Handle chemicals safely and effectively
  • Perform job duties in accordance with Process Technology Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Additional duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree and/or technical discipline certification or equivalent related experience
  • Ability to become certified in forklift and overhead crane operation
  • Ability to become certified in Chemical Handling
  • Ability to read and write in English to complete required documentation
  • Basic computer skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience with Oracle, Tableau, and other metric-based software
  • Critical thinking and troubleshooting skills
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Industrial work experience

Physical Requirements:

  • Lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Push/pull 100 lbs.
  • Stand on feet for long periods of time during a shift for up to 12 hours, with intermittent breaks
  • Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided by Cambria
  • Participate in daily stretch and flex exercises
  • Occasionally work in wet and/or humid conditions
  • Work in a non-climate controlled environment
  • Separate slabs using a separator tool in both racks and A-frames
  • Climb in and out of a forklift multiple times throughout shift
  • Walk up and down steps multiple times throughout shift
  • Bend over multiple times throughout shift

Task-Based Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements:

  • Steel-toed boots
  • Hearing protection
  • Safety glasses
  • Cut-proof gloves
  • Respirator
  • Face shield
  • Latex gloves
