We are seeking an Equipment Maintenance Specialist in Le Sueur, Minnesota.

The Equipment Maintenance Specialist is responsible for performing routine and emergency maintenance on processing and packaging machinery, ensuring the facility operates smoothly and adheres to all safety regulations through safe repair and upkeep methods.

Working 8.5 hour shifts, 11:00 pm - 7:30 am with double time on Sundays and a $1.50/hour night shift differential.

Qualifications:

Strong mechanical and electrical skills Ability to efficiently conduct regular and preventative maintenance on plant equipment and grounds in compliance with standard operating procedures, good manufacturing practices, and OSHA safety policies.

Provide emergency repairs for mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems during production as necessary. Effectively assist in the repair, updating, and installation of equipment. Troubleshoot equipment issues, including both electrical and mechanical systems. Complete and update work orders using internal systems. Maintain routine and preventive maintenance records and logs. Collaborate closely with production teams to minimize downtime while ensuring quality. Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability. Ability to work independently, quickly adjust to changing environments, and think critically. Conduct maintenance on buildings and grounds as required. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of all plant processes. Accurately interpret equipment manuals and work orders. Proficient communication skills in English, including reading and writing.

Our operations in Le Sueur, MN, encompass several facilities: Le Sueur Cheese, Le Sueur Ingredients, Le Sueur Protein Research Center, and Le Sueur Business Office.

Our cheese facility produces various cheese types, including cheddar, Monterey Jack, Asiago, Fontina, Parmesan, and Romano.

Our ingredients facility processes various whey streams, including whey protein isolate (WPI), whey protein concentrate 34 (WPC 34), whey protein concentrate 80 (WPC 80), and both pharma and food-grade lactose.
