About the Role

Amergis is seeking a highly skilled Athletic Trainer to join our team. As an Athletic Trainer, you will play a critical role in the prevention, evaluation, and treatment of athletic-related injuries and illnesses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide on-site athletic and physical training, post-injury care, and rehabilitative care to athletes and individuals.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive injury prevention programs, including the use of protective devices and techniques.
  • Conduct initial assessments of injuries or illnesses to provide emergency or continued care and determine whether individuals should be referred to physicians for definitive diagnosis and treatment.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive rehabilitation programs for injuries.
  • Provide administrative support, including keeping records and writing reports.
  • Plan and implement injury or illness prevention programs, including educating coaches, athletes, parents, medical personnel, and community members on the care and prevention of athletic injuries.
Requirements
  • State Athletic Training licensure, certification, and/or registration (as applicable by state).
  • Certified by the National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification (NATABOC).
  • Minimum of three (3) years of athletic training experience preferred.
  • Must have current CPR certification.
  • Ability to effectively elicit and provide information to and from appropriate individuals via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language may be required.
  • Computer proficiency required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
