We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic II to join our team at Southland Employment Services, Inc. in Bell, CA. As a Maintenance Mechanic II, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment, including HVAC, refrigeration, and mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment, including HVAC, refrigeration, and mechanical systems.
- Inspect and troubleshoot equipment to identify and resolve issues.
- Conduct preventive maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and lubricating equipment.
- Repair and replace parts as needed.
- Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures.
- Conduct training and coaching for junior maintenance personnel.
Requirements:
- 2-3 years of experience in food production or a related field.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), USDA rules in manufacturing, and HACCP.
- Bilingual English and Spanish skills are highly desirable.
- Experience with HVAC, refrigeration, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Knowledge of electrical systems, including conduit, 420V, 3-phase, sensors, and PVC work.
- Experience with welding, including MIG, TIG, and spot welding.
- PLC, hydraulics, and pneumatics experience is required.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with forklift and reach truck repairs and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of industrial machinery, presses, boilers, conveyors, motors, and chillers.
- Ability to read and write proficiently.
- Computer literacy.
