At Equity LifeStyle Properties, we are seeking a skilled Maintenance Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our facilities operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance and upkeep of our community's mechanical equipment, including water heaters and HVAC units in common buildings, lawn mowers, and weed eaters.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical work experience, including plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC repair. Previous supervisory experience is also a plus. You will be responsible for managing a team of maintenance employees, ensuring they follow safe work practices, and performing various preventative maintenance functions.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a team of maintenance employees and ensuring they follow safe work practices.
  • Performing all duties associated with supervising the maintenance staff, including interviewing job candidates, training new employees, conducting performance reviews, and initiating disciplinary actions.
  • Performing various preventative maintenance functions and recording findings in a maintenance log.
  • Reviewing and delegating work orders in a timely manner.
  • Conducting regular property inspections.
  • Monitoring the maintenance and upkeep of all community mechanical equipment.
  • Ensuring that your maintenance team performs to company standards and that service requests are handled in a prompt, courteous, and efficient manner.
  • Participating in the preparation of the annual community budget with respect to maintenance projects and capital expenditures.
  • Operating within your team's approved budget and making decisions with respect to the allocation of funds within the maintenance department.
  • Communicating regularly and professionally with management and staff.
  • Responding to guest concerns with respect and courtesy.
  • Attending and participating in training programs as requested.
  • Assisting with and attending community-sponsored activities and functions.
  • Helping monitor capital improvement projects.
  • Assisting management with special maintenance projects.
  • Performing on-call emergency services as required.
  • Representing the community in a professional manner.
