Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented NDT Trainee to join our team at Mistras Group Inc. - Services. As an NDT Trainee, you will assist our experienced technicians with non-destructive testing methods, gaining valuable knowledge and skills in the process.
Key Responsibilities- Assist Level II/III technicians with set-up and execution of NDT methods.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure equipment is in good working order.
- Assist with documentation and reporting of services provided.
- Complete assigned tasks in a timely manner to meet customer needs and schedule requirements.
- Learn and adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Review work order instructions to ensure processing meets specification requirements.
- Monitor NDT inventory and submit requisitions for ordering.
- Complete work in accordance with controlled documents and work instructions to ensure quality and compliance.
- Participate in quality systems, safety, process, and quality training as directed.
- Perform additional tasks or processes as qualified and directed by management.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Self-motivated and strong work ethic.
- Ability to perform a wide variety of tasks and respond to short notice work.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to follow precise directions and procedures.
- Adaptability to schedule changes and overtime as required.
- Basic computer skills, including word processing, data entry, and simple spreadsheets.
- Written and verbal communication skills.
- Pass an eye exam for vision and color test.
- Work in plant and/or shop areas with extreme noise levels.
- Wear safety equipment as required by the safety department.
- Frequently lift and carry 20-50 pounds.
- Work with water in changing temperature conditions.
- Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing for effective communication.
Hourly Range: $18-$22/hr
