About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Public Service Officer to join our team at TransForce in Lebanon, PA. As a Driver License Examiner, you will play a vital role in ensuring safe roadways for Pennsylvanians and visitors alike.

Job Description

  • You will conduct standardized examinations to evaluate the skill and competence of commercial (CDL) and non-commercial driver license applicants.
  • Assist customers at the Driver License Center by processing applications and paperwork.
  • Determine physical and driving qualifications of applicants, and the mechanical conditions of vehicles for conformance to established standards necessary for safe driving.
  • Administer telebinocular, color perception, and other tests of vision, as well as administer Non-CDL and CDL examinations to ensure examinees have a knowledge and understanding of Vehicle Code and traffic signs.

Requirements

  • One year of experience as a Driver License Examiner Assistant or two years of experience obtaining, evaluating, and providing information to the public.
  • An active Pennsylvania non-commercial Class C Driver's License or equivalent and 21 years of age at the time of application.
  • No suspensions or revocations of a driver's license during the five-year period immediately preceding employment.
  • Possession of an active unrestricted Class M driver's license within six months of employment or before the end of the probationary period and maintain it during employment.
  • A valid CDL with P and N endorsements, without restrictions E, L, N, O, or Z.
