About the Role

We are seeking a Logistics Specialist to join our team at Electric. As a Logistics Specialist, you will play a vital role in optimizing our supply chain operations. You will be responsible for efficiently and punctually managing the movement of IT equipment, working closely with various stakeholders to optimize transportation routes, manage inventory, and meet customer demands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactive monitoring of all shipments during their lifecycle to ensure timely delivery and work with carriers to mitigate exceptions
  • Overseeing the shipment, storage, and receiving processes for IT equipment, ensuring items are properly packaged, labeled, and delivered to the appropriate destinations
  • Communicating information about shipping quotes, shipment status, ETA, and delivery confirmation to customers
  • Supporting the maintenance of logistics policies, procedures, support plans, and standards
  • Providing support for the Logistics, Provisioning, Planning, and Repairs Teams as needed
  • Supporting insurance claims, tracking, and auditing for damaged/loss assets
  • Collaborating with leadership on developing and implementing strategic logistical plans to optimize the movement of goods from suppliers to customers
  • Collaborating with internal teams to forecast demand, plan inventory levels, and ensure timely order fulfillment

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience in a Logistics role
  • Experience establishing and maintaining relationships with logistics providers
  • Proven track record of optimizing logistics processes to eliminate loss/cut costs
  • Expertise in packaging and labeling requirements, especially for products containing lithium-ion batteries
  • Basic data analysis abilities
  • Setting and meeting internal business goals

  • Ability to work in an office environment from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM CST

Physical Requirements

This is a physical role that requires the ability to lift boxes, equipment, or inventory items, weighing up to 25 pounds. You must be comfortable with a mix of both computer and physical work and have the ability to stand or walk for extended periods, especially when physically handling and organizing IT equipment.
