Body Shop Technician Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Body Shop Technician to join our team at Best Employment SoluTions, LLC. As a Body Shop Technician, you will be responsible for repairing and refurbishing vehicles to a high standard, ensuring that all work is completed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of a team to achieve daily goals and objectives
  • Operate handheld and PC tools to complete tasks
  • Review daily production schedules to identify cold drink equipment for daily production
  • Complete visual inspections of cold drink equipment to determine the course of action and repairs needed
  • Use body filler to repair identified defects and sand the area to a smooth finish
  • Clean and prepare cold drink equipment for painting
  • Deliver equipment to the Paint Department
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment throughout the day

Requirements:

  • Follow all prescribed safety and security measures to protect associates and company assets
  • Minimum age 18 years old
  • Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with safety policies
  • Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English preferred
  • Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within company guidelines
  • Ability to utilize all company-provided resources and technology
  • High school diploma or general education degree or a suitable combination of education and experience
  • Basic knowledge of and ability to use hand tools
  • Effective quality management and technical skills needed

Physical Demands:

  • Repetitive sitting, standing on cement floors, walking, pushing/pulling, lifting, carrying up to 35 lbs
  • Continuous bending, kneeling, squatting, grasping, reaching, fine manipulation, and exposure to chemicals and noise

Working Conditions: This role is extremely physical and requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of attention to detail. The successful candidate will be required to work in a team environment and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment throughout the day.
