Role Overview:
As a Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring that lab tutorials and assignments, as outlined by the Course Director, are effectively completed. You will maintain a professional atmosphere in the lab and assist students with technology and project execution. This position may involve teaching both in-person and online.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of four (4) years of relevant and verifiable work experience, or a Bachelor's degree in Audio Production, Recording Arts, Music Technology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

Preferred Skills:

  • Proficiency in software applications such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with Logic Pro X and Pro Tools audio software.
  • Experience in studio recording, microphone usage, signal flow, and console operations.
  • Understanding of acoustics and sound properties.
  • Knowledge of both hardware and software versions of time-based and dynamic processors.
  • Experience with the Apple operating system.
  • Additional experience in audio post-production or sound design for games is advantageous but not required.

Work Environment:
This role is performed in a recording studio, project studio, computer lab, or live event production facility. The position requires effective communication with students, instructors, and support staff, as well as interaction with various audio, video, and lighting production equipment.
