We are currently seeking a RF Payload Systems Engineer to provide Systems Engineering and Technical Advisory (SETA) services to a government Intelligence Community (IC) client, focusing on intricate space and ground initiatives within a diverse program portfolio.

The RF Payload Systems Engineer will collaborate with the System Program Office (SPO) in a technical role, overseeing the planning, execution, monitoring, and management of RF payload systems development and acquisitions aimed at enhancing the National Reconnaissance Office's (NRO) space resilience. This position requires both independent work and collaboration within a team of high-caliber Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) dedicated to supporting the complete lifecycle of systems engineering and management processes to achieve desired capabilities and fulfill program objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervising the design and development of RF payload systems and components, including signal processing units.
  • Implementing complex RF specifications, tolerances, simulations, and testing protocols for RF payload systems and components.
  • Assisting the Government in formulating concepts of operations (CONOPS) and strategies for the deployment of RF systems.
  • Ensuring that research and development (R&D) activities are conducted based on sound engineering principles, including the management of technical risks.
  • Providing technical assistance to Government customer activities and programmatic processes.
  • Creating documentation and presentations to convey project or study status, briefing Government and industry stakeholders as necessary.
  • Developing RF payload performance models to guide Government systems engineering decisions.
  • Supporting Contract Officer Technical Representatives (COTRs) and Developers by coordinating with other technical domain SMEs and program stakeholders to achieve a comprehensive understanding of flight systems, designs, and interfaces required to meet mission objectives.
  • Overseeing acquisitions with a specific focus on RF payload systems elements, ensuring functionality, interfaces, manufacturing, testing, and operations meet mission requirements.
  • Reviewing Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) deliverables for content, technical accuracy, and design detail sufficiency to meet program requirements and objectives.
  • Participating in technical interchange meetings between developers and COTR.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in RADAR system operations, waveform utilization, and processing.
  • Expertise in RF systems design, specifications, development, manufacturing, and testing.
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.
  • Experience employing systems engineering processes, methods, tools, and program roles to develop, implement, and deploy solutions for Satellite Systems.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related technical field.

Clearance:

  • Active TS/SCI with CI Poly.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
