Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist Specialist to join our team. As a Phlebotomist Specialist, you will be responsible for collecting high-quality blood samples from patients of all ages using various phlebotomy methods. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our laboratory services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect blood samples from patients using venous, capillary, arterial, and line collections methods.
  • Provide rapid response to medical emergencies, such as traumas and codes.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to ensure seamless laboratory operations.
  • Interact with patients, nurses, providers, and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Accurately identify patients, label, handle, and transport specimens.
  • Assist with the training of students and new employees.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Phlebotomy experience preferred.
  • Experience working in a medical field preferred.
  • Ability to push a cart and walk distances.
  • Moderate to advanced computer skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work, manage time wisely, and adapt to changes in work volumes and projects.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Valid phlebotomy certification from an approved laboratory certification agency.
  • Medical Assistant (MA) certification from an approved agency.
  • Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Technologist (MT) certification.
Compensation and Benefits

Competitive hourly rate: $24.48 for Phlebotomist I and $26.14 for Phlebotomist II.

Full-time position with 80 hours per pay period.

Benefits-eligible position with comprehensive benefits package.
