Job Title: Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team at Kootenai Health. As a collaborative healthcare practitioner, you will work closely with a physician to assess the physical needs of patients and provide high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Orders, interprets, and records results of clinical tests and reports results to physicians
- Prescribes medications and makes recommendations for other therapeutic forms of treatment
- Works collaboratively with a physician to assess patient needs and develop treatment plans
- Provides patient education and support to promote health and wellness
- Participates in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
Requirements and Qualifications:
- MSN degree or higher from an accredited nurse practitioner program required
- Nationally recognized as a Nurse Practitioner
- Clinical experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified
- Holds a current NP and RN license to practice in the state of Idaho required
- BLS Required. Current AHA Healthcare provider, American Red Cross, AHA Health Saver or KH BLS during General Orientation
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to maintain a standing and/or sitting position
- Typical equipment used in a clinical job
- Must be able to lift or move up to 25 lbs
