Payroll Administrator

Vince Sigal Electric Inc is seeking a highly skilled Payroll Administrator to join our team. As a Payroll Administrator, you will be responsible for performing human resources administration and payroll processing under the supervision of the Accounting Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
- Ensure the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
- Perform periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
- Answer frequently asked questions from applicants and employees regarding standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refer more complex questions to the HR Director or management as appropriate.
- Handle payroll functions including processing, answering employee questions, fixing processing errors, and distributing checks.
- Track and audit employee Paid Time Off and Sick Pay.
- Report to Unions and submit Certified Payroll to DIR.
- Act as a liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors, including health, disability, and retirement plan providers.
- Conduct or assist with new hire orientation.
- Assist with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED: Basic requirement.
- Associate or Bachelor's Degree: Degrees in accounting, finance, or human resource management are beneficial.
- Equivalent experience of at least 3 years working directly in payroll processing, managing payroll systems, and ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
- Equivalent experience of at least 3 years in recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance with labor laws.
Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Knowledge
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, ADP Payroll, QuickTime.
