Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Revenue Cycle Manager to lead our ~12-person billing team and support strong organic growth. The successful candidate will oversee the entire revenue cycle process, interface with other departments, and ensure that billing, collections, and reimbursement operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of the revenue cycle, including insurance verification, charge capture, billing, collections, payment posting, and denials.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of claims and follow up on unpaid or denied claims.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and implement strategies to improve collections and reduce outstanding balances.
  • Partner with other department leaders to identify systematic issues and propose solutions for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure proper coding of therapy services in compliance with federal, state, and payer regulations.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and compliance in billing practices.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports related to the revenue cycle, including key performance indicators (KPIs) such as days in accounts receivable, collection rates, and denial rates.
  • Collaborate with the finance department to ensure accurate financial reporting and forecasting.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle management, with at least 2 years of experience as an RCM leader (Team-Lead or, preferably, as a manager).
  • Strong knowledge of medical billing, coding (CPT, ICD-10), and reimbursement processes.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in healthcare billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems, and the ability to be a super-user of Advanced MD across the Company.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-service oriented mindset to those in and outside the Company.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Maintains leadership and presentation skills to educate staff.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in an RCM leadership role (Team Lead or preferably as a manager) with a multi-site medical practice (preferably outpatient settings).
  • Strong knowledge of best-in-class process development/execution across the entire Revenue Cycle.
  • Preferably holds CRCP certification.
  • Proficiency in Advanced MD.

  • Starting salary range: $75,000-$85,000/year.
