Position Overview


As a Baker, you will be tasked with delivering efficient service and food preparation in accordance with company policies, procedures, and performance standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Arrives at work well-groomed, in a clean and appropriate uniform, and maintains good personal hygiene.
  • Prepares all baked goods including, but not limited to, pies, muffins, cookies, quiche, meatloaf, and ribs.
  • Adjusts oven controls to regulate temperature as needed.
  • Monitors food temperatures during hot and cold handling to minimize food safety risks.
  • Measures ingredients for baked goods using measuring tools and mixes by hand or with an electric mixer. Cuts dough into uniform portions and shapes it as required.
  • Prepares meats or baked items according to established recipes, utilizing various kitchen utensils and equipment.
  • Tastes and tests foods during cooking to ensure proper doneness.
  • Delivers high-quality food and ensures that items are complete, prepared as required, and visually appealing.
  • During busy periods, may be required to operate steam kettles and the grill line.
  • Maintains cleanliness of kitchen stations and work areas while effectively managing time.
Qualifications:
  • Basic skills in sanitation, safety, and customer service acquired through in-house training
  • Effective communication skills are essential
Physical Requirements / Environment / Work Conditions:
  • Must possess a high level of mobility and flexibility
  • Ability to work irregular hours under significant stress during peak times
  • Requires a high level of coordination
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds for distances up to 30 feet
  • Frequent reaching, bending, pushing, and pulling required
  • Exposure to heat, steam, smoke, cold, and odors
  • Continual standing and walking is necessary
