Job Overview:

The Audit Manager is tasked with leading and supervising audit personnel (Associates & Senior Associates) while managing external audit projects. This role involves thorough analysis of audit findings and coordinating all analytical, technical, and research activities. The Audit Manager collaborates with clients, partners, and audit teams throughout the audit process, including risk evaluation, audit planning, and report preparation.

Supervisory Duties:
  • Serve as a mentor and coach to all members of the audit team.
  • Facilitate onboarding and training in line with company policies.
  • Oversee the daily operations of audit engagements.
  • Deliver constructive and timely performance assessments.
  • Guide and direct team members on assigned audit projects.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct audits of financial records, statements, and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with US GAAP and GAAS standards.
  • Communicate effectively with client management and various stakeholders to gather necessary information.
  • Provide guidance and feedback throughout the audit process.
  • Review audit findings and reports for accuracy and completeness.
  • Perform additional related tasks and projects as assigned.
  • Ensure engagements are completed within budget and on schedule.
Qualifications:

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Accounting.
  • CPA Certification or CPA Candidate status.
  • Minimum of five years of auditing experience in a public or private accounting environment.
  • Must possess a reliable vehicle for client site visits; local travel is necessary.
  • Strong computer proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, etc.).
Preferred:
  • Experience auditing employee benefit plans, 401(k) plans, or labor organizations.
  • Interest and knowledge in data analytics.
  • Familiarity with payroll taxes and payroll systems.

  • Capable of meeting client deadlines while delivering exceptional service.
  • Proficient in working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

  • Familiar with Thomson Reuters software for audit engagements.
