Job Title: Building Engineer

The Ordway is seeking a skilled Building Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering crew, you will be responsible for inspecting, coordinating, and performing installation, repairs, and maintenance of building engineering equipment, HVAC automation systems, facilities, and physical plant.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and maintain building engineering equipment, HVAC automation systems, and facilities to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Coordinate with other engineering department personnel to execute department operations and ensure seamless delivery of services.
  • Work on-call as needed to respond to maintenance requests and ensure minimal disruption to operations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Technical training in building automation systems, maintenance, and fire emergency systems.
  • Five years' experience in building maintenance, preferably with experience in building automation and fire and life safety systems.
  • Strong maintenance skills and knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical, and HVAC systems.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work varied hours and adapt to changing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Honeywell HVAC automation systems and Simplex fire and life safety systems.
  • Knowledge of District Energy heating and cooling services.
  • Functional ability with Microsoft Office products and ability to learn other software technologies.
