Certified Surgical Technician

Job Summary:
Granville Health System is seeking a skilled Certified Surgical Technician to join our team in the Operating Room. As a key member of the perioperative nursing team, you will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to provide direct and indirect care to patients undergoing surgical, surgically related, or endoscopic procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in the preparation and maintenance of the operating room environment to ensure a safe and efficient surgical experience.
- Assist the surgical team with patient positioning, draping, and other necessary preparations for surgery.
- Monitor and maintain equipment and supplies to ensure optimal functioning and availability.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless communication and coordination during procedures.
- Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families throughout the surgical experience.
Requirements:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- BLS certification is mandatory.
- Prior experience as a Certified Surgical Technician is preferred, but military experience or equivalent training is also acceptable.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- Computer experience is desirable.
- A valid certificate as a certified surgical technologist is necessary.
