Job Title: Senior Electrical Researcher

ASML US, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Researcher to join our team. As a Senior Electrical Researcher, you will be responsible for identifying gaps in lithography solutions and technology roadmaps, demonstrating technology solutions through feasibility studies and proof of concepts, and supporting the development of technology solutions in the lab.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify gaps in lithography solutions and technology roadmaps
  • Demonstrate technology solutions through feasibility studies and proof of concepts
  • Support the development of technology solutions in the lab
  • Develop new technology competences, create inventions, and transfer results to development operation after building proof of concept
  • Shape external research programs and suppliers, and/or autonomously interact with customers
  • Keep up with relevant developments in the own area of expertise and contribute to the (scientific) field by developing new, state-of-the-art knowledge, exchanging knowledge with other professionals, and developing and maintaining own network in and outside of ASML
  • Co-develop the business and/or technology strategy from a leading position in own area of expertise by identifying and sharing new developments and trends, creating new technological innovations and breakthroughs, translating these into building blocks for others, and practical opportunities for own area/domain
Requirements:
  • Master or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering with relevant work experience
  • PhD Degree - 5 years, will consider postdoctoral research toward experience
  • Master Degree - 8 years experience
  • Distinguished professional - should be recognized as a technical domain expert whose judgment is trusted broadly on technical and managerial levels in ASML and in the scientific world outside

  • Basic knowledge of Physics, including:

  • Hands-on working knowledge and experience with:
    • Electronic Laboratory Equipment
    • Circuit Simulation Tools (i.e. PSpice or other)
    • MATLAB or similar modeling software

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Must be willing to work in a clean room environment, wearing coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses, and gloves
  • The environment in the cleanroom is moderate in temperature with moderate to high noise level
  • Safely working around lasers; on ladders; on platforms; around chemicals; near strong magnetic fields; around high voltage and currents
  • The employee is occasionally required to move around the campus
