Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst to join our team at RGA Reinsurance Company. As a Senior Business Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing, reconciling, and compiling periodic invested asset, collateral agreement, and other data to prepare collateral and related reports for global oversight and governance purposes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collateral Reporting
    • Perform collateral reporting functions for the business unit, area, or function, which may include:
    • Monthly collateral database preparation
    • Monthly letter of credit reporting
    • Quarterly legal entity collateral risk reporting
    • Quarterly collateral demand and supply reporting
    • Periodic agreement-level internal and external collateral reporting
    • Quarterly CLC stress testing and reporting
    • New business pipeline reporting and analysis
    • Ad hoc collateral analysis, including stress testing
    • Trust funding status assessment and recommendations for trust margining actions
    • Collateral legal agreement documentation oversight
  • Collateral Meetings and Reporting
    • Schedule and lead collateral meetings with internal functional and corporate key stakeholders, including geographic regions, and Investments
    • Lead report development and/or updates; address collateral reporting-related questions raised by business unit, area, or function; support operational efficiency efforts
  • Collateral Analysis and Due Diligence
    • Assist with new transaction due diligence and analysis related to collateral; gather information on new business pipeline needs and assist with reporting on collateral impacts of pipeline and emerging risks
  • Collateral Documentation and Coordination
    • Oversee the documentation of new collateral agreements as well as recapture and collateral triggers
    • Coordinate with Treasury, Investments, and other functional areas to support large, intercompany settlement activities and other funding desk needs
  • Problem-Solving and Technical Expertise
    • Use critical thinking and problem-solving skills to identify and propose solutions for enterprise-wide and deal-specific collateral sourcing or reporting issues
    • Share technical expertise with others; recommend process improvements, provide functional advice and/or training as needed
  • Special Projects and Liaison
    • Coordinate and complete special projects, appropriately balancing priorities and deliverables
    • Serve as liaison to other business units, areas, and functions as needed
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent related work experience
    • 8+ years investments, finance, accounting, or auditing experience
  • Preferred Qualifications
    • Prior experience with collateral operations, analysis, or reporting
    • Prior experience with investment portfolio management
    • Prior experience with investment data
    • Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, or other data visualization/data manipulation application knowledge
    • SQL/Query, Python skills
