Position Overview
The Technical Business Systems Analyst will be tasked with collecting requirements, conducting gap assessments of current system capabilities to fulfill business objectives, and executing configurations in both new and existing systems. This role includes the creation and updating of application documentation to facilitate future enhancements and ongoing system maintenance. Additionally, the analyst will provide tier 2 support for internal business users and manage application platform upkeep.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure project requests are clearly defined and communicated. Assist in the formulation of business requirements and cases, ensuring that IT resource needs are recognized and supported by all parties involved.
- Collect business reporting requirements and convert them into technical specifications for report design.
- Evaluate current functionalities and perform gap assessments to pinpoint improvements in existing system capabilities. Implement configuration updates through an application management tool.
- Develop and maintain system documentation along with user assistance materials.
- Act as second-tier support for internal business users.
- Oversee and maintain data interfaces with other internal applications and systems.
- Collaborate with developers and designers to ensure comprehensive understanding of business requirements. Support development teams as further refinement of requirements is necessary and assist the business in ensuring the appropriate solution is being crafted.
- Establish and uphold effective communication with fellow business analysts, project managers, cross-functional project teams, and both internal and external customers to identify critical tasks and deadlines.
