Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Field Technician to join our team at ConGlobal. As a key member of our Implementation and Deployment Services Team, you will be responsible for deploying and supporting our cutting-edge Technology Systems.

As a Senior Field Technician, you will serve our internal and external customers by installing, commissioning, and supporting our Advanced Solutions Technology Systems. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Quickly achieving technical proficiency of all ConGlobal Advanced Solutions for installation, implementation, deployment, testing, trouble shooting, servicing, and supporting.
  • Installing, deploying, and commissioning new automated systems per project plans, working closely with ConGlobal Project Manager and Customer site personnel.
  • Managing field team and activities, leading and training new team members.
  • Communicating with clients to explain complex issues, when required.
  • Installing and supervising the installation of conduit, control cabinets, control boxes, mounting brackets, and various devices, including cameras, gate arms, traffic lights, sensors, servers, and related equipment, bracketry.
  • Diagnosing and resolving software, electrical, electronic, computer, and hardware problems as they arise.
  • Utilizing a variety of hand tools and power tools as required.
  • Pulling, routing, or labeling CAT5, CAT6 cable, and other wiring, cabling.
  • Repairing related poles and towers to resolve cable issues.
  • Conducting thorough inspections of cable lines to ensure the system is working correctly.
  • Providing positive customer interactions.
  • Timely submitting reports and expenses.
  • Always pursuing the lowest cost way to effectively run the business and schedule travel.
  • Implementing engineering changes as required.
  • Drafting and submitting internal facing reports.
  • Recording data as required by development engineers.
  • Booking travel and recording time.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 10+ years of applicable field experience.
  • 5+ years of applicable field experience leading a team.
  • Extensive knowledge and utilization of hand tools and power tools.
  • Expertise in pulling, routing, labeling, and terminating CAT5, CAT6 cables, COAX cable.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and willingness to learn various business computer systems as required.
  • Understanding and adherence to safety guidelines.
  • Willingness and desire to learn and grow while paying attention to detail.
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends.
  • Valid US Driver's License.
  • Authorized to work in the USA without Visa sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications would be beneficial:

  • Technical degree in a related field.
  • Previous experience in field installing, deploying, repairing equipment and systems.
  • Knowledge of fiber optic cabling.
  • Background in IT networking.
  • Experience and/or understanding of Technology Systems and Componentry.
  • Experience and/or understanding of basic mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
  • Knowledgeable of NEC guidelines.
  • Experience and certification for operating equipment, such as scissor lifts, forklifts, and boom lifts.

Travel and Location

This role requires willingness and ability to travel 75% of the time. The primary location for this position is Fort Worth, Texas, USA-TX-Fort Worth.
