Job Title: Sr. Field Service Crane/Controls Technician

Are you a skilled professional with a passion for technical problem-solving and customer satisfaction? We're seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sr. Field Service Crane/Controls Technician to join our team at PaR Systems.

Job Summary:

We're looking for a seasoned professional with a strong background in electrical and mechanical systems to join our Field Service team. As a Sr. Field Service Crane/Controls Technician, you will be responsible for providing expert technical support to our customers, ensuring maximum uptime of their equipment, and identifying opportunities for sales and upgrades.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect, service, and repair overhead, revolver, and nuclear cranes
  • Plan and coordinate routine inspections, repairs, and aftermarket upgrades
  • Execute commissioning of standard PAR products
  • Document services and write technical reports
  • Read and interpret electrical control schematics and diagrams
  • Perform electrical and mechanical testing procedures
  • Use electrical test equipment and fundamentals
  • Evaluate equipment operating conditions and recommend repairs
  • Communicate with customers and provide excellent customer service
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 5-10 years of experience in environmental/nuclear cranes, material handling, robotics, and other automated applications
  • Strong background in AC, DC, and VFD motor control systems
  • Proficient in electrical system troubleshooting
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and wire diagrams
  • Computer skills, including MS Word and Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, organization, and time management skills
  • Understanding of LO/TO safety requirements, OSHA standards, and NFPA 70E code
  • Familiarity with OSHA, ANSI, and CMAA codes or regulations
