AmeriMed Infusion Pharmacy, a leading provider of home infusion therapy services, is seeking a highly skilled Admissions Coordinator to join our team. As an Admissions Coordinator, you will play a critical role in coordinating infusion therapy, enteral therapy, and durable medical equipment for patients and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the admission process for referred patients, obtaining referral data and entering patient information into our electronic health record system.
- Work closely with referral sources, patients, and delivery teams to ensure seamless transitions to home care.
- Verify insurance coverage, complete benefit checks, and obtain prior authorizations for all product lines as required by payors.
- Generate and send out advance beneficiary notices, assignment of benefits, and patient agreements to patients.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Three years' customer service experience in the medical field.
- Ability to work closely with a wide range of professionals and a multi-disciplinary team.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong typing and computer skills.
- Ability to function well as part of a team.
