Bourbon Steak Food Service Specialist

Position Overview:

The Bourbon Steak Food Service Specialist plays a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences. This position requires a commitment to understanding and executing the standards of service as outlined in the restaurant's operational manuals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Execute job responsibilities in alignment with the expectations of Bourbon Steak.
  2. Complete all assigned side work efficiently.
  3. Engage in pre-shift meetings to familiarize with menu updates.
  4. Provide a warm welcome to all guests, ensuring they receive attentive and courteous service.
  5. Communicate daily menu features and changes to guests.
  6. Assist kitchen staff in expediting service to maintain a seamless dining experience.
  7. Address guest inquiries regarding menu items, including food and beverage selections.
  8. Collaborate with support staff to ensure guest needs are met promptly.
  9. Maintain awareness of table statuses and upcoming orders.
  10. Utilize position numbers and proper service techniques consistently.
  11. Serve food and beverages while monitoring guest satisfaction.
  12. Oversee table maintenance and coordinate service with team members.
  13. Work with Bussers to ensure service stations are well-stocked.
  14. Present guest checks accurately and ensure timely processing of payments.
  15. Adhere to food preparation and service standards consistently.
  16. Maintain cleanliness and safety in the dining area and service stations.
  17. Comply with all health, safety, and labor regulations.
  18. Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Position Requirements:

  • Proficient in English communication, both verbal and written.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and basic computational abilities.
  • Familiarity with POS systems and basic computer skills.
  • Knowledge of table settings and service ware.
  • Ability to describe menu items and utilize suggestive selling techniques.
  • Professional demeanor suitable for a luxury dining environment.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Physical and Mental Demands:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
  • Capable of lifting trays and items weighing up to 30 lbs.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, and reach as necessary.
  • Good vision and hearing abilities are essential.
