Radiation Therapy Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiation Therapy Supervisor to join our team at New York Cancer & Blood Specialists. As a key member of our radiation oncology department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and leading a team of radiation therapists.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality radiation therapy treatments to patients in accordance with physician orders
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and department efficiency
- Develop and implement procedures for new equipment and treatments, ensuring seamless integration into our workflow
- Schedule daily staffing for simulators and accelerators, ensuring adequate coverage and minimizing downtime
- Make recommendations on employee hires, transfers, and promotions, promoting a positive and productive work environment
- Coordinate task assignments and resolve technical and operational issues, ensuring smooth department operations
- Provide effective leadership and guidance to radiation therapists, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning
- Assist in ensuring adequate equipment and supplies for the radiation oncology department, maintaining a safe and efficient work environment
- Supervise overall operations and processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and department policies
- 5 years of experience in a supervisory role in radiation oncology
- Extensive knowledge of charge capture and radiation coding
- ARRT certification and ASRT-NYS DOH license
- Graduation from an AMA-approved radiation therapy program
- NYS license as a radiation therapy technologist
- ARRT registration or current eligibility for ARRT registration
