We are seeking a certified Healthcare Support Specialist who is adept at performing both clinical assistance and registration responsibilities as required. Compensation ranges from $17 to $22 per hour based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in patient care by taking vital signs, conducting basic assessments, and providing explanations of medical information under the guidance of healthcare providers.
  • Perform registration tasks, ensuring a smooth and accurate check-in and check-out process, which includes confirming patient demographics, verifying insurance, and processing payments.
  • Manage incoming calls, assist patients with scheduling, and relay messages to the appropriate healthcare provider.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of one year of experience in a physician office or clinic, preferably in Internal Medicine or Primary Care.
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a customer-oriented approach.
  • Ability to handle a high volume of calls and multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in obtaining vital signs, patient history, and performing telephone triage.
  • Experience in assisting with procedures under the direction of healthcare providers.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and assist with inventory management.
  • Greet patients warmly and manage check-in and check-out processes efficiently.
  • Schedule appointments and ensure the office lobby remains tidy.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Medical Assistant Certification is mandatory.
  • Preferred experience includes one year in a medical office setting and familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR).

Skills:

  • Ability to multitask in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Calm demeanor and ability to de-escalate challenging situations with patients.
