Stake Center Locating is a leading provider of underground utility locating services. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Locate Technician to join our team. As a Locate Technician, you will be responsible for locating underground utilities, troubleshooting, and marking the ground to promote damage prevention in your community. We offer a comprehensive training program to equip you with the necessary skills to succeed in this role. Key responsibilities include:

* Thinking safety first and using provided locate equipment and technology to accurately locate underground utilities
* Reading maps, interpreting blueprints, and determining the best method and sequence for locating
* Communicating effectively with peers, managers, and homeowners

We offer a competitive pay rate of $20.00 per hour, as well as opportunities for advancement through our Accelerate Your Career Program. We also provide a late-model vehicle with a fuel card, PTO, paid holidays, and comprehensive insurance coverage. **Requirements:**

* Eighteen years of age or older
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
* Ability to walk up to 5 miles a day, 2-3 times a week
* Ability to carry up to 5 lbs of electronic locating equipment for extended periods of time
* Pass pre-employment background and drug screening

**Schedule:**

* Will need to have the ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays
* Employees will respond to emergency calls during scheduled on-call shift rotation
