Senior Payroll Manager Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Payroll Manager to lead our payroll team in Tampa. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise a team of 9 direct reports and perform end-to-end people management activities, including recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management.
  • Act as an escalation point of contact for payroll processing, resolving escalated issues and problems with internal and external stakeholders and third-party vendors.
  • Collaborate with HR, Benefits, Finance, and IT to assess and select payroll software upgrades, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption to operations.
  • Develop and maintain operational frameworks for daily backups and comprehensive business continuity plans, ensuring the highest level of data security and integrity.
  • Partner with Finance to review and certify payroll and Soc 1 signoffs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage special payroll processing for annual merit increases, bonuses, off-cycle payments, and other business events, ensuring timely and accurate disbursements.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, human resources, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in multi-state, complex US payroll, with in-depth knowledge and experience of payroll calculation and processing for the US.
  • Experience with common HCM, payroll, and time/attendance systems, as well as managing a team in a global business service center.
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Certified Payroll Manager (CPM) preferred.
  • Experience processing payroll for Puerto Rico, preferred.
