The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for a variety of essential functions within the payroll department, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of payroll processing. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing weekly adjustment files and ensuring payrolls are confirmed accurately and on schedule.
  • Handling various forms of imputed income, including relocation expenses and stock options, to guarantee precise year-end W2 reporting.
  • Serving as a primary contact for payroll inquiries, collaborating with HR and engaging with key stakeholders.
  • Assisting in the administration of year-end bonuses, executive compensation distributions, and other significant payroll-related activities.
  • Supporting the reconciliation of tax payments and filings as required.
  • Utilizing analytical skills to identify discrepancies in reconciliation processes.
  • Updating payroll processing procedures to align with Sarbanes-Oxley and internal audit standards, enhancing efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborating closely with the Shared Service Center to ensure alignment in payroll processing activities.
  • Participating in cross-training initiatives within the department to gain comprehensive knowledge of payroll functions, including tax, garnishments, and report generation.
  • Contributing to the achievement of departmental goals and objectives.
  • Performing additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
