Role Overview
As a Lab Packaging Specialist, you will be tasked with packaging products generated by the laboratory, including cartridges and tinctures. Precision is crucial in this role, as accurate measuring, counting, and labeling are vital.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Follow daily packaging schedules to meet efficiency targets.
  • Ensure all work areas, tools, and equipment are in optimal condition before starting each batch.
  • Perform packaging, labeling, and data reporting in accordance with TerrAscend's quality and safety standards, regulatory compliance, and legal requirements.
  • Safely operate, clean, calibrate, and maintain various packaging equipment according to established standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Generate reliable data for batch, equipment, quality, inventory, and seed-to-sale documentation.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of SOPs and work instructions.
  • Manage inventory of packaging materials and finished products by maintaining accurate records.
  • Adhere to safe chemical handling and disposal procedures as outlined in SOPs.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
  • Support the Packaging Lead to achieve daily goals and deadlines.
  • Drive productivity and cost-effective packaging processes while developing innovative optimization strategies.
  • Be available to work nights and weekends as necessary to complete essential tasks.
Qualifications:
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational abilities.
  • Problem-solving skills in a collaborative setting.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • Experience in a GMP manufacturing or laboratory environment is preferred.
  • Background in the medical marijuana/cannabis industry is advantageous.
