Job Summary:

GCR Professional Services is seeking a highly skilled Senior Test Engineer – ATE/EE to support the development of Advanced Test Equipment (ATE) in the Power & Control Actuation Systems (PAS) / Space / Marine Lines of Business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, integrate, and deploy Special (Peculiar) Test Equipment (ATE / STE) with a strong emphasis on team cohesion.
  • Technical writing of Test Procedures, Reports, and Presentations in support of DVT testing, Qual testing, ATP testing, and ESS testing.
  • Provide formal Review packages for TE Gate events (TE SRR, TE CDR, TE Validation).
  • Work closely with the new product development team for the Prime Mission Equipment while generating operational procedures and reports.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 12 years of formal ATE development experience with a high level of expertise in the ATE specialty domain.
  • Strong Technical Documentation writing skills, with the ability to generate technical procedures, reports, and presentations.
  • Technical ATE knowledge, with respect to manual and automated control of various instrumentation, including Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, Power Meters/Analyzers, and more.
  • Experience with interface bus protocol support, including IEEE-488, I2C, SPI, USB, RS-485/422/232, Serial, and JTAG.
  • Software skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 12 years of Test Equipment development experience.
  • US Citizenship or US Green Card Holder.

Preferred Skills:

  • Project Planning, Monitoring, and Reporting.
  • Training, Guidance, and Mentoring of Junior Engineers.
  • Cohesive Collaboration with Program Teams.
  • Ability to Assemble and Present Professional Technical Packages/Reports.

Work Environment:

The primary work environment will be the client lab/office area, with occasional travel to one of the lab facilities that provide outsource capability for client Qualification events.
