Responsibilities

The Critical Care Nurse Practitioner operates under the guidance of collaborating physicians or the Medical Director for the Hospitalist program. This role involves delivering direct, comprehensive, preventive, and therapeutic healthcare to patients and their families. Responsibilities include assessment, diagnosis, treatment, prescription, counseling, and patient education, all in accordance with Nurse Practitioner Protocols and relevant regulations governing Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).

The Nurse Practitioner is expected to provide healthcare services for which they are educationally qualified and have demonstrated competence.

This position also entails overseeing all aspects of the Hospitalist program, including fiscal management, time, and resource allocation. Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

Qualifications

Applicants must possess a current Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) license in Arkansas. Documentation must comply with the State Nursing Board, demonstrating satisfactory completion of a nurse practitioner educational program and preceptorship.

Candidates should also be eligible for a Medicare provider number and DEA registration.
