About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Technologist to join our team at Nuvance Health. As a key member of our cardiac catheterization lab, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist hospital and medical staff in the performance of invasive cardiovascular procedures, including angioplasty, while maintaining a sterile environment.
  2. Monitor patient hemodynamic status and ECG, collect and enter patient information, and generate reports at procedure completion.
  3. Conduct pre-procedure interviews, obtain medical histories, review lab work, and educate patients and families on procedure details and risks.
  4. Prepare the cath lab for invasive testing, calibrate equipment, and perform daily QA checks.
  5. Position patients, connect monitoring devices, perform ECGs, and document patient medical records.
  6. Assist cardiologists with arterial closure devices and sheath removal.
  7. Act as a resource for staff members on complex technical equipment, instruments, and supplies.
  8. Collect data for ACC-NCDR and Connecticut Registry databases.
  9. Participate in other duties as needed, including inventory management, cath lab QI, and transporting patients.

Requirements:

High School Diploma/GED required. Basic computer skills, competent in interpreting EKGs and hemodynamic pressure tracings. Experience in endovascular, interventional, and diagnostic procedures. Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) preferred.
