Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiovascular Technologist to join our team at Nuvance Health. As a key member of our cardiovascular team, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the diagnosis and treatment of heart disease.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the performance of invasive cardiovascular procedures, including angioplasty, under the direction of a qualified physician.
  • Monitor patient hemodynamic status and ECG, collect and enter patient information, and generate reports at procedure completion.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, including pre-procedure interviews, medical history reviews, and informed consent.
  • Prepare and position patients, connect monitoring devices, and document patient medical records.
  • Assist cardiologists with arterial closure devices and perform sheath removal and hemostasis.
  • Act as a resource for staff members in the use and troubleshooting of complex technical equipment.
  • Collect data for the ACC-NCDR and Connecticut Registry databases.
  • Participate in other duties as needed, including inventory management, cath lab QI, and on-call responsibilities.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Basic computer skills and competence in interpreting EKGs and hemodynamic pressure tracings required.
  • Minimum one year of experience in endovascular, interventional, and diagnostic procedures required.
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) preferred.
