Job Title: Financial Reporting Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Reporting Accountant to join our team at NorthPoint Search Group Inc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public accounting, with a focus on construction and real estate industries, and possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
  • Review and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Maintain and update accounting policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting efficiency.
  • Stay current with industry trends and changes in accounting standards.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting (BS in Accounting).
  • Minimum of 4 years of total accounting experience, with a base in public accounting.
  • Experience in the construction and real estate industries is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
