Job Title: Workplace Facilities Director

Y Combinator is a leading startup accelerator that has invested in over 4,500 companies, including Airbnb, Dropbox, and Stripe. We are seeking a skilled Workplace Facilities Director to lead our Workplace Team and manage the operational aspects of our offices and event spaces.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with our leadership team on workplace planning initiatives, acquiring new properties, and construction projects.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of our San Francisco offices, including building maintenance, repairs, and security.
  • Implement systems to monitor and optimize energy use, utilities, and building management.
  • Manage relationships with external contractors, vendors, and service providers.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding building codes, environmental standards, and workplace safety.
Requirements:
  • 7+ years of experience leading workplace operations.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, space planning, architecture, and construction processes.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, negotiate contracts, and coordinate with external vendors.
  • Excellent project management, communication, and leadership skills.
What We Offer:
  • Competitive base salary range: $200,000 - $250,000.
