Job Title: Senior Estimator

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join our team at Executive Search Partners LLC. As a Senior Estimator, you will play a critical role in evaluating the costs and resources required for construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate project plans, specifications, and requirements to understand the scope and goals.
  • Calculate material, labor, and equipment costs, including subcontractor bids and overhead expenses.
  • Prepare detailed and competitive bid proposals for potential projects.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to obtain accurate pricing and availability of materials.
  • Monitor and update project costs throughout the construction process.
  • Participate in negotiations with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Ensure that all cost estimates adhere to local regulations and building codes.
  • Identify potential risks and provide recommendations for risk mitigation.
  • Maintain accurate records of estimates, bids, and project-related communications.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to management and project teams.
Requirements:
  • 6-8 years of relevant commercial construction estimating experience in various general commercial building markets.
  • A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is ideal.
  • Confidence in leading estimates of varying sizes and delivery methods.
  • Extensive knowledge of construction costs and engineering principles.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple, competing priorities and deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal, marketing, and presentation skills.
Physical Requirements:
  • Mobility to move around construction sites is essential.
  • The ability to lift and carry lightweight construction documents and materials may be required.
  • Strong visual acuity is necessary to review detailed project plans, specifications, and documents.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills are crucial for collaborating with project teams, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary to assess complex project requirements and costs accurately.
