Role Summary:

The Project Manager is responsible for the meticulous planning, execution, and successful delivery of projects within established timelines and budget constraints. This role involves resource acquisition and the coordination of team members and external contractors to ensure project objectives are met. The Project Manager serves as the main point of contact for clients, fostering confidence in NIC Partners' ability to achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exhibit a proactive and positive attitude, promoting teamwork and collaboration.
  • Handle inquiries from team members in a professional manner.
  • Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate flexibility while working closely with colleagues.

Essential Duties:

  • Take ownership of projects, guiding them from inception to completion.
  • Define project objectives, deliverables, and scope in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders, focusing on IT technologies.
  • Create and communicate detailed project plans, incorporating vendor and subcontractor milestones as necessary.
  • Work closely with Project Accounting to ensure timely procurement, billing, and financial tracking of projects.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive progress reports, proposals, and project documentation.
  • Manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs, identifying risks and developing contingency plans.
  • Estimate necessary resources and collaborate with Resource Managers for personnel acquisition.
  • Motivate and guide project team members and contractors, ensuring accountability for their tasks.
  • Build and nurture relationships essential for project success and future business opportunities.
  • Conduct post-project evaluations to identify successes and areas for improvement.

Qualifications:

  • A degree or diploma in a technology-related field or project management is preferred; relevant experience may be considered.
  • Certifications such as PMP, Prince2, ITIL, or Cisco are advantageous.
  • Proven experience in project management, particularly in IT infrastructure and networking projects.
  • Familiarity with project management software and tools, including Microsoft Project.
  • Strong understanding of general office software, especially Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in K-12 education, construction, or healthcare sectors is a plus.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
  • Proficient in using computer applications and willing to learn new technologies.

Work Environment:

The role is primarily office-based, with moderate noise levels and controlled temperature conditions.

Salary is commensurate with experience, ranging from $75,000 to $115,000.
