Substance Abuse Counselor

We are seeking a highly skilled Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team at Open Sky Community Services. As a key member of our clinical team, you will play a vital role in providing evidence-based interventions to individuals struggling with substance use disorders.
Key Responsibilities- Enroll, screen, assess, and reassess individuals for substance use, addiction risk, and treatment needs.
- Identify and evaluate risk issues, develop critical need interventions, and transition plans.
- Collaborate with the team to provide clinical consultation and support in understanding the impact of substance use on recovery.
- Develop and facilitate clinical and support groups based on individual needs and preferences.
- Cultivate mutually respectful partnerships and maintain a helping role with individuals and family members.
- Coordinate with Care Coordination Entities and other providers to ensure access to addiction services.
- Provide direct interventions and supports based on individual treatment needs.
- Develop productive affiliations and partnerships with community-based providers to enhance service delivery.
We are seeking candidates with a strong background in substance abuse counseling and a passion for delivering high-quality care. Required qualifications include:
- LADC I, LADC II, or CADC certification.
- Experience working with adults with mental health challenges, emotional disturbance, and co-occurring substance abuse disorders.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
