Supervisor, Entertainment Operations

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Stage Manager Lead to oversee the Stage Manager team in Entertainment at SeaWorld Orlando. This leadership position requires a strong background in entertainment show production and stage management, with a proven track record of success in leading teams and driving results.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Training: Provide guidance, coaching, and training to Stage Managers in Entertainment at SeaWorld Orlando, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
- Standardized Training Program: Develop, maintain, and facilitate a comprehensive training program for new and existing Stage Managers, ensuring consistency and quality across the team.
- Operational Support: Assist with the implementation and sustainability of standardized venue documentation, including SOPs, training checklists, and reference materials, to ensure seamless operations.
- Team Development: Conduct regular one-on-one sessions with direct reports to enhance their support structure, provide ongoing feedback, and assist with their growth and development.
- Performance Management: Participate in the annual performance review process for direct reports, ensuring accurate assessments and actionable feedback.
- Liaison and Communication: Act as a liaison between salaried leadership and hourly leadership team members, effectively communicating operational decisions and completing action items as directed.
- Event Support: Participate in the Entertainment Duty Phone program, filtering daily operational phone calls as needed, and support the daily operation of Consumer Events through the Entertainment MOD program.
- Guest and Ambassador Interaction: Communicate professionally and effectively with Ambassadors, Vendors, and Guests, ensuring a positive and memorable experience.
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience in entertainment leadership or a similar environment, with a proven track record of success in leading teams and driving results.
- Knowledge: Strong knowledge of entertainment show production and stage management, including production, design, technical, and administrative elements.
- Skills: Excellent organization and time-management skills, with the ability to reinforce those skills among direct reports. Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and employee schedule programs.
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
- Lifting and Mobility: Ability to lift, push, pull, and/or carry up to 50 lbs, with extensive walking and standing throughout the work shift.
- Environmental Factors: Work indoors and outdoors, in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat, and be exposed to fumes, dust, odors, and cold/heat temperature extremes.
- Work Schedule: Work a flexible schedule, including opening, mid-, and closing shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays, with the ability to adapt to changing business needs.
