Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership:
    • Develop and implement a culture of excellence, emphasizing safety, quality, and teamwork.
    • Set and enforce high standards, driving continuous improvement in all areas.
    • Ensure all employees, contractors, and visitors demonstrate safety awareness and safe work practices.
    • Mentor and develop leadership team members, fostering a culture that motivates employees.
  • Operational:
    • Develop and execute strategic plans to ensure reliable production and delivery of high-quality API products.
    • Implement lean manufacturing techniques and cost reduction programs to drive continuous improvement.
    • Collaborate with Functional Area Leadership to refine metrics and measure performance.
    • Ensure ongoing process and manufacturing capability improvement, including policy development and maintenance.
    • Implement effective plant and equipment preventative maintenance programs.
  • Financial:
    • Lead the planning, budgeting, and cost monitoring of the Manufacturing department, including the Annual Operating Plan.
  • Quality:
    • Represent the site in all federal agency inspections and customer audits.
    • Recommend and implement methods to increase product quality and/or services.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry and/or Chemical Engineering or related field.
  • 10+ years' experience managing a manufacturing environment, with specific understanding of API manufacturing preferred.
  • Strong communication, change management, and managerial skills.
  • Strong knowledge and demonstrated implementation of Compliance Management - cGMP, technical operations, and quality systems.
  • Operational Excellence certifications preferred: Green/Black Belt, Lean manufacturing.
