Position Overview:

The Security Architecture Engineering division at LPL is seeking a dynamic professional to spearhead our Cloud Security initiatives. As the Chief Cloud Security Officer, you will be instrumental in formulating and executing robust cloud security strategies. This leadership role entails overseeing the safeguarding of cloud-based systems and data throughout the organization, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and industry best practices. Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and mentor a team of cloud security experts, providing essential guidance and support.
  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify control and capability gaps in cloud security and application delivery technologies.
  • Devise remediation strategies and validation processes.
  • Assess and implement new technologies to mitigate risks and address security vulnerabilities.
  • Establish and enforce cloud security policies and procedures to protect sensitive information.
  • Collaborate with IT and business units to integrate security measures into cloud services and infrastructure.
  • Influence business objectives to ensure that information security requirements are incorporated into project delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards pertaining to cloud security.
  • Develop and maintain custom tools and scripts to meet information security needs.
  • Participate in financial planning, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Create security solutions to fortify cloud infrastructure.
  • Communicate cloud security goals and progress to executive leadership and stakeholders.
  • Maintain a proactive approach to staying informed about the latest developments and threats in cloud security.
  • Work within a DevSecOps framework to automate security across all cloud platforms.

Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of experience securing both private and public cloud environments.
  • 5+ years of experience with task automation using languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Go.
  • 5+ years of experience integrating security controls into DevSecOps workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
  • 5+ years of experience designing secure container architectures utilizing Kubernetes, EKS, and ECS.
  • 5+ years of experience managing cloud security controls, including CIEM, CSPM, DSPM, and IaC code security.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
  • Professional security management certification, such as CCSP or AWS Certified Solution Architect.
  • Advanced knowledge of web application and API security technologies.
  • Ability to design and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans for cloud systems.
  • Proven experience in hardening complex cloud and hybrid environments.
Compensation:
Salary range: $140,000 - $234,600. Actual base salary may vary based on relevant skills, experience, education, and performance. LPL offers a competitive Total Rewards package, including 401K matching, health benefits, employee stock options, and paid time off.
