Human Resources Representative, Sr.

The City of Atlanta is seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Representative, Sr. to provide exceptional support to our operating units. This role will work closely with the Public Safety HR Director, Assistant Director & HR Manager to ensure the effective discharge of HR duties and responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with HR Representatives to ensure the accurate and timely flow of personnel transactions.
Provide support to the Public Safety HR Director, Assistant Director & HR Manager by running reports to analyze and compile data identifying trends within operating units.
Work with Background & Recruiting on candidate tracking, candidate relationship management, offer development and on-boarding of new employees.
Leverage relationships with best practices to provide guidance to managers and supervisors on performance, disciplinary action, and employee grievances.
Assist the HR Manager in providing coaching to leadership team on leadership development, decision-making, human resources management, problem-solving, and performance management.
Provide guidance on interpretation and implementation of City Code, workplace policies, and relevant federal and state laws and regulations.
Requirements
Associate's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or related field.
2 years' experience in an HR role with exposure to recruiting, training, compensation, benefits, employee development, or performance management.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or related field.
4 years' experience in an HR role with exposure to recruiting, training, compensation, benefits, employee development, or performance management.
Work Environment
This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain professional composure in emotional or confrontational circumstances. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HR principles and practices, with the ability to apply them in a fast-paced environment.
