Job Description

  • As our Sous Chef, you will oversee daily prep, line setup, quality checks, and lunch or dinner execution for our kitchen staff in a fast-paced environment.
  • You will be responsible for preparing all food menus and ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently to meet high-quality standards.
  • This role requires working various hours, including opening and closing shifts, and collaborating with cooks and fellow supervisors to maintain exceptional food quality control.
  • Key responsibilities include training, instructing, and reviewing cook and prep cooks' work for taste, quality, and presentation.
  • Additionally, you will expedite lunch or dinner service according to our standards and expectations, coordinate daily prep lists, and communicate effectively with BOH staff to identify developable personnel and provide necessary training.
  • Other duties may include overseeing daily ordering needs, receiving products to ensure quality and accuracy, maintaining food cost control through ordering, waste management, and inventory control.
  • You will also assist the Chef de Cuisine in controlling labor costs by prioritizing tasks and training cooks on time management, represent the BOH at pre-shift meetings, assign cleaning and maintenance work daily, and maintain a high level of cleanliness in the kitchen facilities.
  • Solving issues and seizing control of problematic situations are also key aspects of this role.
  • Lastly, you will train culinary team members, establish schedules, enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards, and help with duties of other employees when necessary.


Requirements and Qualifications

  • We seek an experienced Sous Chef with strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, 401(k), paid vacation accrual, and more.
