Overview


CommonSpirit Health is seeking a dedicated Vascular Surgery Advanced Practice Provider to become an integral part of our esteemed medical team. This role involves collaborating with a group of skilled Vascular Surgeons and a Physician Assistant to deliver exceptional surgical and clinical support across various areas.


This position provides a unique opportunity for professional growth in the surgical field, with the potential to engage in cross-coverage for Vascular, Thoracic, and Cardiac Surgery. Comprehensive on-the-job training and courses will be available following the onboarding process.

Key Details of the Position:
- Paid Call
- Monday to Friday work schedule
- 30 days of paid time off

Responsibilities

Patient Care:
- Assess and manage a variety of medical conditions.
- Formulate and execute detailed treatment strategies.
- Conduct comprehensive medical assessments and histories.

Communication:
- Effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Provide clear and concise medical information.
- Promote a collaborative and patient-focused healthcare approach.

Documentation:
- Maintain precise and current patient records.
- Document medical findings, diagnoses, and treatment strategies.
- Ensure adherence to coding and billing standards.

Diagnostic Procedures:
- Order and interpret diagnostic evaluations, including laboratory tests and imaging.
- Perform necessary procedures.
- Collaborate with specialists for additional diagnostic assessments.

Team Collaboration:
- Work alongside nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Engage in interdisciplinary team meetings and case discussions.
- Provide consultative services to fellow healthcare providers.

Quality Improvement:
- Participate in quality assurance and enhancement initiatives.
- Review and assess clinical outcomes for ongoing improvement.
- Implement changes to improve patient care and safety.

Compliance:
- Uphold ethical and legal standards in medical practice.
- Stay updated on healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.
- Engage in quality audits to ensure adherence to established standards.

Continuous Learning:
- Keep informed about medical advancements and best practices.
- Participate in ongoing medical education and training.
- Contribute to the development of clinical protocols and guidelines.

Qualifications
- American Board Certified or Board Eligible in the relevant medical specialty.
- A valid and unrestricted state medical license or license-eligible.
