Job Summary

We are seeking an HR Specialist to join our team at Spinal Elements. As an HR Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting with all aspects of the employee life cycle, including recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, and payroll support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor the HR mailbox and respond to employee requests in a timely manner
  • Assist with candidate scheduling, phone screening, and ensure an exceptional candidate experience
  • Support new hire onboarding and orientation
  • Assist with the off-boarding process and notify all respective departments of employee exits
  • Verify benefits invoices for accuracy and update payroll team as needed
  • Assist in payroll by reviewing employees' timecards and time off requests
  • Identify and document any payroll exceptions on a bi-weekly basis
  • Collaborate with and advise internal departments on HR matters as needed
  • Handle confidential information professionally and with sensitivity
  • Complete employment verification requests in a timely manner
  • Prepare monthly employee recognition, including anniversaries, birthdays, and upcoming events
  • Assist with drafting and sending out communication to the entire employee population
  • Support leave documentation
  • Support the events committee with monthly engagement activities
  • Conduct research on best practices in the HR industry and share findings with the team
Requirements
  • HS diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 2+ years of human resources experience required
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, including the ability to support and prioritize multiple projects
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to adhere to strict deadlines and guidelines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • A strong sense of urgency
  • A growth mindset and desire to learn
